Can UBOOT_CONFIG = "sd" image be used for booting from emmc?

Hi,

I'm a little confused by the UBOOT_CONFIG = "emmc" or "sd" config in local.conf in yocto image buiding.

The board usually has a boot dip switch, from emmc or sd card or something else.

Then in uboot image build config, there again is a switch for emmc or sd.

My question is: if I build a uboot image with config of UBOOT_CONFIG = "sd", can the uboot image be burn into emmc and then boot from emmc?

in imx6, some boards need uboot_xx_emmc.bin to boot from emmc, but as I known, for imx8, they both can use default uboot bin file to boot from emmc
