Hi Team,

 

We checked the supported boot devices of i.MX8MQ. They are as NAND flash and SD/MMC from the RM. However, maybe we have seen in one of the i.MX8MQ schematics we found that there is a configuration for QSPI-NOR flash.

So, just wanted to double confirm, whether i.MX8MQ supports U-boot booting from QSPI-NOR flash?

Yes it is supported, Note, for successful boot from new qspi nor specific for that part fspi header in needed, fspi_header:

Hi @Bio_TICFSL ,

  Thanks for your reply. Looking at the below two images it looks like the secure image flashing only  (and not flashing non-secured one) is supported in i.MX8MQ. Can you please share more information on the same?
