Accessing Usb device in imx51

Hi I am working with imx51 processor. In our design I need to access the files in the USB device.
when I mounted my usb device, a node(1-1.1) appeared in /dev folder. I got two devices in /proc/bus/usb

/proc/bus/usb # ls
001 002 devices

Is it possible to view the contents of the USB device like when we used to see in PC . Usually in PC it appears in /media folder.

Please share your information if you faced similar problems. or any comments about what I am missing

The problem is solved. I missed the configurations to be selected for accessing the USB device. Now I got sda1 in /dev folder. I can able to see the contents and access files in my USB device.
