I want to check for VDD_SNVS_IN using a coin battery.

During normal operation, VDD_SNVS_IN is the operating range is 2.9V ~ 3.3V.

- i.MX 6Solo/6DualLite Applications Processors for Consumer Products, Rev. 5 4.1.3 Operating Ranges

As an example, it shows the discharge characteristic graph of the ML621.

Immediately, coin battery is reduced to about 2.5V.

In addition, less than the operating range and supplies using the PMIC (MMPFxxxx).

If you want to back up the RTC in the Coin Cell Mode, operating  range of VDD_SNVS_IN will be 2.9V ~ 3.3V?

  Strictly speaking, You are right, VDD_SNVS_IN operating range from 2.9 V  provides

difficulties for battery selection and using, when we should take into account battery

discharging. Nevertheless, the value of 2.9 V is correct.

It may be difficult itself to back up the RTC(in IMX) in the coin battery.

I want you to presentation if there is a reference circuit of the RTC backup.

(Reference circuit you do not want to use the PMIC.)

Hello, Satoshi !

     SABRE SD Board / Platform design may be used as reference, but

it is based on PMIC. No i.MX6 designs without PMIC from NXP.
Basically it is possible to connect i.MX6 VDD_SNVS_IN with a battery directly.
