Hi all, I am using a module with an 8987 wifi bt Chipset. To help me debug it not working in my Linux system I would like to gain a better understanding of how it works.
Does the module come with any firmware after power up? I would like to know if Linux first can read some registers after reset or must it first download firmware into the device before it can test if it is present? I have had a look during a reboot at the oscilloscope at the SDIO interface and the only pin I see activity on is CLK, nothing on Data0:3 or CMD. Do you know what could be going on here?
Hello,
By any chance , which device are you using ? Are you using a module or are you using the direct chipset and your own hardware?
Regards,
