We are using the "Type 1ZM Wi-Fi + Bluetooth" module with the i.MX RT1050 Crossover Development board. These work fine when we use the Embedded Artist M.2 module and adapter. However, with our bespoke design we notice that the SDIO_CMD response from the 1ZM, after commands from the RT1050, change on the rising edge of SDIO_CLK - not the falling edge as it does on the Embedded Artist M.2 board.

Is there a register setting to change this to the falling edge?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Is there a NXP design document for the 88W8987 chip which describes its registers?

Best regards.

For future reference, we resolved the issue internally as it was actually to do with power sequencing and the clock edge problem was a measurement issue. We were dealing with an entirely custom PCB with RT1050 and 1ZM mounted directly on both, so this issue is unlikely to affect anyone else.

Hi,

Could you please help me with the following information?

  • Are you using an EVK for the RT1050?
  • When you say “with our bespoke design” are you referring to an RT1050 custom board with the 1ZM module?

Best regards,

Daniel.
