Availability of JN516x chips

Hello ,

I have been working with the JN516x devices in the past couple of years. These chips and modules based on them are getting always costlier and scarcer. For example the module ebyte e75-2g4m20s is no more available from the supplier because of the unavailability of JN5168 (information from the supplier).

Have the JN516s series devices reached end of life ? Or is the scarcity only temporary ?

Are these devices not recomended for new designs ?

The JN516x modules are in EOL status, however, the IC is still available. Also, you could look at the module makers that provide some modules. However, we are facing a scarcity.

Note: JN5189/88T is preferred for any new Zigbee^®, Thread design. No new software releases planned
