Why is the 88W8887 not recommended for new designs?

I recommend 8987, IW416, IW611 to customers because "EOL may be near".

88W8887 is an old Wi-Fi chip which may near to EoL(End of Life). We have less and less resources , energy and support on 88W8887.

That's why we don't recommend for new designs. 

If customers are thinking of 88W8887 and 88W8987, then please suggest customers choose 88W8987.
