Hello David,

The datasheet has no information regarding how to configure this device to send IBI to I3C master.

Could you please help me with programming guideline to trigger IBI from Temperature Sensor ?

Warm Regards,

Abhishek

Hello AbhiAk47,

Please review the response from our specialist below:

Please ask customer to set TLOW register over room temperature or THIGH register under room temperature in I3C mode, then P3T1755 will generate IBI event to I3C controller.

Hello David,

Again the Datasheet has reading and writing guideline only for I2C (Section 7.6)

Could you please provide me programming steps for I3C regular transfer mode to send IBI ?

Also what values do I need to set for Configuration Register ? Do I need to set TM=1 to generate IBI ?

And In general, please provide I3C regular transfer mode programming steps to perform read and write operation to Temperature Sensor registers.

I tried writing to TLOW and THIGH register but didn't observe IBI. might be missing some step to write to these registers in I3C mode.

Hello AbhiAk47,

I hope all is great with you. Thank you for using the NXP communities.

As we know, the MIPI I3C Specification allows the I3C devices on the bus to generate an In-Band Interrupt (IBI) for the Active Controller to service using the SDA and SCL lines. This makes it possible for the devices on the bus to generate interrupts without using any external interrupt lines.

Please review chapter 7.4.5.10 from the datasheet and let me know if you have any questions.

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

David
