EOL on Accelerometer FXLS8471Q (14bit) - Any direct replacement available ?

We have recently got the announcment that Accellerometer FXLS8471Q is EOL.
I'm not able to find any information whether there is a direct replacement available, does anyone have an idea of a workaround rather than re-designing PCBs which are in active production.

You are right, unfortunately, the FXLS8471Q and other accelerometer families will turn into NRND soon since last order would be 12/1/2021 and last shipment would be 12/1/2023.

For the moment, we were asked by the marketing team to recommend the FXLS8962 and FXLS8964 for new applications.

Unfortunately, none of these are pin-to-pin compatible with the FXLS8471.

FXLS8964 will be pin and software compatible with the FXLS8962, so in case you need to replace the FXLS8962, this will be the best option.

Availability of the FXLS8962 is been affected by several factors, to obtained in small quantities to validate with the anticipation, please contact your local NXP Authorized distributor directly (https://www.nxp.com/support/sample-buy/distributor-network:DISTRIBUTORS).

Anticipated release date for the FXLS8964:

Samples: Q3 2021

Production: mid-2022

Hi. Difficult times to search for a replacement. I understand that.
Are there any updates of possible replacement of FXLS8471Q ? I see it listed in retailers but do not see unit price or a secure lead time.
FXLS8471 (14bit, +/-2g) lent us an excellent service. It is a shame it has gone more than one year since EOL notification and we still can not find a replacement or similar part from NXP brand.
Any comments will be appreciated.

Not so happy about needs for rework layout to solve this issue!
However we will probably buy for stock here and now and reconsider our options. Your advice is greatly appreciated, thanks
