Is there any limitations of generated binary file(size, optimization) using s32ds toolchain.

Which is preferable : IAR workbench or S32DS?

Please help me in this.

The controller used is S32k142(100 pin).

Hi,

well, it is hard to say - these are different compilers - IAR is proprietary one, S32DS default compiler is open source gcc.

Generally - IAR will probably (but it depends on application)  produce slightly smaller and better optimized code than gcc. On the other hand - IAR requires paid license, gcc is free of charge. Gcc is widely used a you can find tons of examples, documentation and so on.
