My mistake, you may not able to read out the value of PMSTAT Register.

Two ways:

1.check the MCU power consumption is the must right way.

2.Enable CLKOUT on the PIN, measure BUS_CLK or CORE_CLK with an oscilloscope.

Core Clock is disabled in VLPS mode, CPU does not work, how to read PMSTAT?

and RM NOTE: When debug is enabled, the PMSTAT will not update to STOP or VLPS.
