In our project we are using T1024 processer and We need to implement 3x PCIe GEN 2 ports. In datasheet has 3x GEN2 ports but in same datasheet the SERDES is shown 10GHz . Please let me know what will be the through put of the device if 3 GEN3 ports are used.

Also the 10GHz SERDES means 1 lane support 10Gbps or all 4 lane through put is 10Gbps.

@yipingwang We have a end point device with 1 port x4 lane PCIe interface and we need to use x1 lane of T1024 as other 2 ports are used for other purpose. So do we need to have a PCIe Switch in between or it is ok to connect directly to PCIex1 port.

For "Supported SERDES Options", kindly refer to the Figure 30-1 of T1024 Reference Manual Rev.1 available on nxp.com.

All of the options mentioned in Figure 30-1 can be used without any constraint. The requirements for the platform frequency are mentioned in section 4.1.10.5 and Figure-72 of QorIQ T1024 datasheet available on nxp.com

0x095 and 0x0D5 are the SERDES protocols that supports three Gen 2 PCIe interfaces. Suppose, if you select the SERDES protocol (SRDS_PRTCL_S1RCW [128:136]) 0x095, then you will get XFI working at 10Gbps on Lane A and 3 Gen 2 PCIex1 ports on Lane B, C and D respectively. Since, XFI is only present on Lane A, hence, only Lane-A will support 10Gbps and Lane B, C and D will provide full bandwidth for PCIe Gen2 as per your system. The protocol options listed will be implemented as they are.

T1024 supports PCIe Gen2 speeds, there is no support for Gen3 speeds.
