I installed CW 8.8 and the Patch 8.8.6 and I substituted the ccs folder for the one of CW Eclipse 11. I have added the "show com" command in the ccs config file: ccs.cfg located in ..\ccs\bin.

OS: Windows 11 64 bits.

I get a "CC communications fault" on the ccs console:

..

Received CMD_AVAILABLE_CONNECTIONS
command done - Ok
Received an unknown command 58
nhti command done - Ok
Received CMD_GET_CONFIG_CHAIN
nhti command done - Ok
Received CMD_CONFIG_CHAIN. count = 1
core 0: MPC8xx
nhti command done - CC communications fault
Received CMD_CONFIG_CHAIN. count = 0
Received CMD_CC_VERSION
Available USB TAPs:
<none>
VERSION: BL 1.0.1
VERSION: OS 1.0.4
CodeWarrior TAP Boot Loader version 1.0.1
CodeWarrior TAP OS version 1.0.4
Sending code to CodeWarrior TAP.........done
runme.sh
ccs/
ccs/bin/
ccs/bin/libtmsc8144.so
ccs/bin/cwtap_jtag.xsvf.gz
ccs/bin/libtmsc815x.so

..

When I perform the same test with target power at off, I get a "cable disconnected" error, which is normal.

I suspect my custom made probe tip has not the right pinout. It meant to be a DPI 10 pins BDM interface for 8xx processors (PowerQUICC I). I made the schematics based on the CWH-CTP-COP-YE-SCH from NXP.

Can somebody point me to potential mistakes in my attached diagram (CWH-CTP-DPI-YE.pdf) ?

Thanks,

Michael

Please refer to section "DPI Connector Information" in the attached document.

Please open CCS console C:\Program Files (x86)\Freescale\CodeWarrior PA V8.8\ccs\bin\ccs.exe, type command "source IDcode.tcl" to check whether the processor ID information can be read.

Hi,

It is a CodeWarrier TAP (latest model) that I have, so the connector info that I need is for it's 30 pins connector (and not only the 10 pin DPI).

The new TAP works with different cable tips and the particular one for DPI is not available. A schematics would solve the problem.

Thanks
