The Irregular Booting Failure On MPC8245

Hi,

We have produced 100-unit using MPC8245.

The level of development is mass production.

6-unit among them are very abnormal.

All 6-unit are irregular booting failures.

If we try to boot 10 times, then only 1~2 times are booting success but others are booting failures.

We have experienced 3 different phenomena.

   1st) The MIV signal is always not activated.

   2nd) The MIV signal is always activated.

   3rd) The MIV signal is partially activated or partially deactivated(like normal operation), but the unit is not operated.

Hi @mavillo,

It seems like an assembly issue of components or might be a component damage issue. 

Check the power section(generation & sequence), and verify the RESET circuitry & boot register configuration. Make sure all the components are properly soldered and the assembly of the correct value components is at the correct place.
