TFA9879 DRC status available?

Hello,

I'd like to indicate to the end user that the DRC (Dynamic Range Compressor) is currently active. I can't find anything that allow me to read directly in the status register anything about that. Did I miss something? In case there's no way to easily get this information, have some of you already figured out a solution to that kind of problem?

Hello Serge,

See below. Reading bit DRC_BP (Reg0Fh[1]) you can see whether the DRC is active or bypassed.

This bit also needs to be set by the user, so it is not a status bit.

Or do you mean you would like to see whether the DRC is ON/OFF during audio playback?

So meaning a status bit that continuously toggles between 1/0 during audio playback ?

This status bit the TFA9879 does not have.
