Hi,

Some Port Mirror Configuration parameter related to SJA1105S chip, We able to map but few of the Configuration parameters not able to map from user manual UM11040.

 

  • Source Mac Address Filter – (Specifies the source MAC address that should be mirrored) -   It map SRCMETA register from AVB Parameters table.
  • Destination Mac Address Filter – (Destination MAC address that should be mirrored) - It map to VL Lookup table MACADDR register
  • Virtual Lan Id Filter –( Specifies the VLAN address that should be mirrored ) - It map to VL Lookup table VLANID register
  • Mirroring Packet Divider – (Divider received frames should be mirrored.) - Not found the respective register.
  • Mirroring Mode – (Specifies the mode how the mirrored traffic should be tagged) - Not found respective register.
  • Traffic Direction Ingress Bit Mask – (Specifies the bitmask of Ethernet switch ingress port traffic direction to be mirrored.)  - It map to VLAN Lookup Table VING_MIRR register
  • Traffic Direction Egress Bit Mask – (Specifies the bitmask of Ethernet switch egress port traffic direction to be mirrored.) - It map to VLAN Lookup Table VEGR_MIRR register
  • Capture Port Index – (Specifies the Ethernet switch port which captures the mirrored traffic) - It map to PORT register from the VL Lookup table.
  • Re-Tagging Virtual Lan Id – (Specifies the VLAN address which shall be used for re-tagging) -  It map to VLID register from the VL Lookup table.
  • Double Tagging Virtual Lan Id – (Specifies the VLAN address which shall be used for double-tagging ) - It map to  RETAG register from the L2 address lookup table.

 

Please provide a suggestion/information related understanding of the above configuration parameter for mapping.

It is not clear what kind of mapping you are trying to establish.
None of the parameters you mentioned are specified in SJA1105S
documentation. Parameters similar to Source Mac Address Filter,
Destination Mac Address Filter and Virtual Lan Id Filter are there,
but they are not directly related to mirroring. See UM11040,
Section 5.2.1 on how to control it in the switch. Retaggning
is controlled by Retagging Table, described in Section 5.2.6 of the
same document. There is no dedicated configuration table for mirroring.
Study the descriptions of the following parameters to understand how
mirroring is implemented in SJA1105S: General Parameters[MIRR_PORT],
L2 Address Lookup table[MIRR], VLAN Lookup Table[VING_MIRR, VEGR_MIRR],
MAC Configuration Table[ING_MIRR, EGR_MIRR].
