PTN5150A VBUS_DET pin connect VBUS via 1MΩ

Hi,

I designed PSD device using PTN5150.
What purpose 1MΩ at VBUS_DET?
I try USB Functional Test, TD4.3.1 v15 is fails due to the influence of 1MΩ.

According to datesheet, wrote "Directly tie to VBUS of the USB Type-C receptacle"
In PTN5150A Application Board, change 1MΩ from 0Ω.
I need more information.

Hi Kayanuma,

The purpose of the series resistor of 1M at VBUS_DET is to raise the VBUS detection threshold from 3.5V to around 4V range. This is also to be compliant with Type C spec 1.3.

Please find attached the schematic for your reference.
