PTN3365 HDMI 1.4.

Hi,

We are using PTN3365 for DP++ to HDMI 1.4 conversion. Datasheet says HDMI 1.4b compatible.

1. Is HDMI 1.4 also comapatible or is it only HDMI 1.4b?

2. HDMI 1.4 has 3 data channels and 1 clock channel but all the pins are named as data channel. Is 4th channel used as clock channel?

3. Outputs are open drain . Do i need to pull it high ?

4. Is dual mode DisplayPort supported?

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. Better saying: PTN3365 can support up to HDMI 1.4b. yes, it supports HDMI 1.4.
2. All four channels are identical, you may use any channel as clock channel, to optimize PCB layout.
3. Yes, output is TMDS signaling, need R_t pullup to AVcc.
4. Yes.
