Can the Demo Board OM6270 generate UART baud rate of 1Mbit

Hi 

I have an application where I need to initially configure a device over serial uart at 115200 baud and then switch up to 1Mbit baud for the rest of the communication. 

I think a 32Meg xtal will give a good baud rate of 1Mbit, and at 115200 an error of 2.12%, if my calculations are correct.

Will the SC16is760 or 750 run at the 1Mbit baud rate successfully over a very short distance?

The device I am communicating with is 5v, will I need series resistor on the receive line?

is there a better xtal frequency for both baud rates?

Do you mean that you need 1024Kbps baud rate?

For EVB OM6270 the oscillator frequency is 14.7465MHz.
