BGU610X Evaluation Board Question

Hello,

I’m currently working on a university project that revolves around amplifying a small RF signal. For one of the designs our team is currently considering, we were planning to use the BGU610X LNA series. Looking online, we’ve come across two example application boards:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11865.pdf

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11091.pdf

While the circuits produce amplification results that would be great for our project, we are unsure if we can use the circuits directly as our application range is from 125-500MHz. We would imagine that the circuit components would be different, but we are unsure how to characterize them. Therefore, we were wondering if there is another evaluation circuit closer to this frequency range that has already been developed, or if figures for output impedance can be provided such that we would be able to create our own testing circuits.

Thank you,

Michael

1.
We have the following evaluation boards for BGU610x family:

OM17055/DEMOBOARDS//BGU6101/LNA/
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11867.pdf

OM7810/DEMOBOARDS//BGU6102/FMHI/
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11091.pdf

OM7809/DEMOBOARDS//BGU6102/FM50/
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11090.pdf

OM17056/DEMOBOARDS//BGU6102/LNA/
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11866.pdf

OM17057/DEMOBOARDS//BGU6104/LNA/
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11865.pdf

/LNA/ Low Noise Amplifier for ISM/LTE band of 700 –  930 MHz and ISM band of 1.8 –  2.2 GHz
/FMHI/ High Ohmic FM LNA for embedded Antenna in Portable applications FM band of 70 –  130 MHz
/FM50/ 50 Ohm FM LNA for embedded Antenna in Portable applications FM band of 70 –  130 MHz

All these designs share the same PCB board but different matching component values.

Our eval boards has not been characterized for 125-500MHz frequency range. Nevertheless, BGU6102 50 Ohm FM LNA can be used for this range as is.

BGU610X are internally matched to 50 Ohm. Thus, broadband tuning can be easily done.

You can use S-parameters to do this job

Also, I attached selection guide for BGU610x family.

Have a great day,
