Problem with HTRC110 - HiTagS communication

hi all,

I am trying to communicate with HiTagS 256 via HTRC110.

As per the datasheet we need to:

=> Configure HTRC110

=> Set WRITE_TAG_N to required write pulse width (currently am using transparent mode)

=> Read phase, calculate sampling time and set the same.( For our antenna phase value comes around  0xf and compensation offset value I have set to 0x3F)

=> Fast settling, freeze the filters and switch HTRC110 to write mode

=> Then I am sending UID Request to HiTagS and switch HTRC110 to read mode.

=> After switching to read mode am getting noise from the antenna and UNABLE TO RECEIVE RESPONSE FROM TAG.

=> I checked the modulation on TX1 and TX 2 of HTRC110 and can see variation in it as shown in MOD_IMAGE below.

NOTE: Please ignore the labels.

=> UID Request waveform are attached as zip file.

Please let us know if any further inputs are required.

Also, We are getting center frequency of 125KHz on antenna.

Original Attachment has been moved to: UID_Req_RW_Waveforms.zip

hi,

Following are the updates:

1) We resolved this issue: Does htrc110 support 3v3 voltage?

2) Now we have the query related to pulse lengths for UID request to be sent to HiTagS:

      => We configured htrc110 in transparent mode

      => Pulse width of bit 0: 200 - 210us

      => Pulse width of bit 1: 240 - 260us

      Is this pulse width optimum? or withing range?

3) Also we are getting optimum amount of power on RF side. (Voltage of around 20V)

But still we are unable to receive response from HiTagS.

Please suggest some solution or workaround.

hi Jorge,

Thank you for your response.

=> We are using linux and imx6 processor to communicate with htrc110, so the control library which you shared cannot be ported directly.

=> We have attached the phase difference waveform.phasediff.png

=> Also we observe UID request on analog side. We have set write pulse width to 8*T0 = 64us with 12MHz crystal. But when we changed the crystal to 16MHz we did not observe UID request on analog side. Do we need to change anything else other than FSEL value?

=> We are getting amplitude of 20V modulated waveform, is this voltage enough to power up HitagS?

Please note: we are powering up the htrc110 ic with 3.3V. We have also raised this query on following link:

Does htrc110 support 3v3 voltage?

Will be waiting for more updates.

Hello,

I would recommend to download the HTRC110 control library. You need to request it from DocStore. Please give a check to the next thread:

How to download a restricted control library for HTRC110?

Also, there is the application note AN98080 which has the design principles for your HITAG reader device:

Best Regards!

Hi Jorge,

I tried requesting access to the docstore, and they tell me we need to contact local support to sign an NDA. Do you know whom to contact? We are based in Denmark .

Best regards

Erik
