PN7160 PLL Clocksource 5 vs 7 possible frequencies

Hello,

in the PN7160 datasheet (Rev. 3.9, Page 24) it says:

There are 7 pre programmed and validated frequencies for the PLL: 19.2 MHz, 26
MHz, 32 MHz, 38.4 MHz and 48 MHz.

It is stated that there are 7 frequencies, but only 5 are listed, also in Table 18 of the datasheet.

In the usermanual (Rev 1.5, Page 56) 7 frequencies are listed - 13 MHz, 19.2 MHz, 24 MHz, 26 MHz, 32 MHz, 38.4MHz or 48 MHz.

Which one is correct? I would like to use an external 24MHz clock.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hello, my name is Fabian.

Thank you very much for your interest in using our products.

I'm checking with the respective team about these documentation differences. In the meantime, I will recommend you to please check our PN7160 hardware design guide, where section 8.2 Clock provided by an external source; States the recommended XTAL values for this case.

Best Regards,
Fabian
