NTAG I2C plus - I2C getting stuck

Hello,

I am using the OM5569-NT322ER kit to test NFC communication. I managed to initialize the I2C port and read/write data. However, sometimes when transferring a lot of data, it gets stuck and any communication over I2C is without response until I reset the device by either pressing the reset button or unplugging and plugging the usb cable.

It sometimes also gets stuck when I send the command to init I2C port when it's already initialized. I could also reproduce this in the demo Peek and Poke application.

It seems like any commands sent over the I2C interface are ignored in this state. Is there a way to restart the device without physically pressing reset/unplugging the cable?

Hi

I would suggest you take a look at the I2C soft rest feature.

The i2c soft rest feature interprets an i2c repeated start( no i2c stop in between) as a command to execute a soft reset of the i2c subsystem. this is useful when heavy bus interference can cause the i2c interface to get stuck.

Regards

Daniel
