Hello
We use the CLRC663 blueboard to develop new product. But our customer wish to know the value of "RSSI". So we want know where can we get the RSSI's value of RC663?Or which register ?
thanks
Thanks for info IvanRuiz
Hello,
In a normal radio communication, we have one device as Tx and other as Rx. The carrier is transmitted by the Tx and the Rx can measure the RSSI.
In NFC, the Rx (our Reader) transmits the carrier itself while the Tx (the card/tag) just "loads" the field. So, which radio strength you would like to measure?
The question might be about the strength of the coupling, e.g. you could measure the strength of the subcarrier or you could measure the loading effect as a kind of strength ... or anything else?
Regards,
Isaac
About the RSSI, we are developing a reader with several antennas (we use a multiplexer). Is there any parameter that can measure with the clrc663 to be able to discern if a tag is closer to one antenna than another?
Thank you!
Hello,
It is not possible to know the distance at which the tag is because of the explained above. Unfortunately DPC feature is not available on this board which allows to control the transmitter current and therefore the field strength depending on loading and detuning conditions.
DPC feature is available in PN5180 and PN7462.
have a good day.
Regards,
Ivan.
