eTimer not triggered on rising edge of input signal

Hello,

Our team is using an MPC5643L for vehicle controller of our Formula Student Electric car. We are doing some tests about for the wheel speed on the vehicle, using a simple hall effect sensor. We want to use eTimer in order to trigger an interrupt to build a counter, capturing the rising edges of the sensor input. The hall effect sensor signal is a square wave from -2.5V  to 2.5V. We are sending it directly into a GPIO input.

However, we can't seem to get it to work. We have followed the Hall Sensor Programming Lecture but still the interrupt is not triggered. Perhaps we have the wrong setting?  Is it necessary to select the IP Bus Clock input for the primary source or setting the primary source to our main signal input is correct?

I have attached the model we are using to do the initial tests the eTimer. Maybe you can see where we should select a different setting?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Can you sent me a picture or more with your board jumper settings please?

In the mean while - perhaps you may wish to have a look at this thread: https://community.nxp.com/thread/455511

I noticed that you are not using a different primary source for counting.

Best regards,
Daniel
