With KDS 1.1.1 and KSDK 1.0.0 I've built all mqx debug libraries and the hello example for FRDM_K64F board.

Using GDB SEGGER J-Link Debugging attempt to run the debug outputs to the console:

Quit (expect signal SIGINT when the program is resumed)

Quit (expect signal SIGINT when the program is resumed)

Quit (expect signal SIGINT when the program is resumed)

Quit (expect signal SIGINT when the program is resumed)

Exception condition detected on fd 0

error detected on stdin

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Piotr

Hello Alice,

I've deleted the project, imported it again and now it seems to be working fine on my Windows 7 machine,

Thanks,

Piotr

Hi Piotr,

Do you refer to the "C:\Freescale\KSDK_1.0.0\doc\Kinetis SDK K64 User's Guide.pdf"  ?

And does your KDS window as the same as me when debug ( the screenshot is mine )?

And for the J-Link debug for KDS , plase refer to "C:\Freescale\KDS_1.1.1\doc\pdf\kds_user_guide.pdf" .

Hello Alice,

You are showing SDK  hello_word demo. I've a problem with MQX hello example. You will find it under rtos/mqx/mqx/examples directory.

BTW:

The SDK demo's .elf file is 80KB in size, the MQX version of hello program is 53MB in size. Would this be expected?

Piiotr

Hi Piotr,

About the MQX hello demo , you can refert to "C:\Freescale\Freescale_MQX_4_1\doc\tools\kds\MQX_KDS_Getting_Started.pdf" .

The attchment is I test the demo , you can compare it with yours .

If you still have error , you can post your error screenshot .

Hello Alice,

1. If read my question I have KDS 1.1.1 with KSDK 1.0.0 installed. Nowhere there is a Freescale_MQX_4_1\doc\tools directory.

2. My screen looks pretty much like yours. What does it means?

I have rebuilt the project on another computer. It is Windows XP machine and the debug seems do be running fine. What I've noticed on the Windows XP machine is a message on the Console:

SEGGER J-Link GDB Server V4.88e Command Line Version

On Windows 7 64bit machine, where the debug fails, the message is:

SEGGER J-Link GDB Server V4.90e Command Line Version

3. What is GDB Server version on yours machine?

Regards,

Piotr

@Hello Piotr,

From your said , your major problem is debug .

On my WIN7 64 bit machin , the GDB version is V4.88a  , please refer to "C:\Freescale\KDS_1.1.1\doc\pdf\kds_user_guide.pdf" about '4 Debugging an embedded application' config .

If still can't debug , you can reload bootloader refer to "K64-quick start guide"(the attachment) .

And I want to know , does your board can work normally whit bareboard on kds ?
