Hello,

I am just starting to work with the MPC5554 and was wondering what free (ideally open source) development environments are available for this platform.  Currently I am using CodeWarrior 5.9, which was supplied on a CD with the board. Running Code in debug mode works fine (I am currently just turning LEDs on and off again), but I currently do not seem to be able to permanently flash my source code to the board. Are there dedicated flash tools needed for that task?

Thank you for your time,

Severin

Hello David,

thank you for your answer. Do you know of any alternatives, particularly if it is possible to work with gcc and gdb?

Cheers,

Severin
