ALSA on MPC5123: no soundcards found

Never worked with ALSA before, trying to get it up and runnig on a dev board with MPC5123.

But when the kernel loads it reports:

[ 1.855621] ALSA device list:
[ 1.858548] No soundcards found.

I turned on ALSA in my kernel config.  I also specified that PSC3 should be an I2S slave in the .dts file. 

Just wondering what step(s) I'm missing...

I wrote the audio drivers for our P1022 and MPC8610 boards.  Unfortunately, I don't have access to any MPC5123 boards.  If I did, I could probably tell you what's wrong.  Can you provide the complete kernel boot log?
