Dear all :

in our project, ADC is  a safety function module, so its hardware selftest should been executed  to ensure ADC integrity.

Assumption under certain conditions: [SM_130] When Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) of the MPC5744P are used in a safety function, suitable system level functional safety integrity measures must be implemented after reset (external reset or destructive reset) before starting the respective safety function to ensure ADC integrity.

Assumption under certain conditions: [SM_131] Before running the ADC hardware self-test, the system software must copy the reference thresholds from UTest flash memory to the watchdog registers (STAWnR).

Assumption under certain conditions:[SM_132] When using integrated self-test as the functional safety integrity measure, the analog watchdog for CPU and CTU modes must be enabled for the self-test. The programmable watchdog timeout is smaller than the FTTI.

Please tell us how can we use ADC  hardware selftest function  ,  can you provide any sofeware sample for us ?

Hi,

The we do not have ADC self-test code for this device available.

However ADC self-test is very good described in reference manual chapter 35.2.5.11 Calibration and Self Test.

Follow this guidance and it will be no problem to write it.

All available SW samples are located here:

I was able to find application note dealing with this problematic:
