Hi all,

I have a question about using the SPI Bus (on LPC1343) and the LPCxpresso debugging interface:

As I can see in the schematics the SPI Line "MOSI" is shared with the "SWO" Line used by the LPC-Link.
Is it possible to debug and use the SPI Bus at the same Time ? Or will the debugger disturb the SPI Communication ?
Are there any layout recommendations I must take into account ?

LPC-Link  does not support serial wire trace functionality of the Cortex-M3 processor within the LPC1343 thus SWO (also known as SWV) is not required for "normal debugging".

However if you ever intend to use your board with the Red Trace functionality of the full Red Suite with a RedProbe+ (rather than just using LPCXpresso IDE with LPC-Link), or equivalents from other companies, then be aware that this trace functionality would require SWO/SWV.

LPCXpresso doesn't use SWO :)! So debugging is no problem. If you draw your own board, don't wire it to SWD-connector.
