What happens when a LPCLink-2 board is powered both by the probe (probe has J2 closed) AND by
USB (target is connected to PC). Will I damage the target LPCLink-2?

How does this affect resetting. Via debug launch, via plug/unplug (target) USB cable.

Regards, Mike.

Thank you very very much for that.

That is what I was hoping for, but I am a software guy not a hardware expert.

The reason: I would like to 'reset' the target and re-download edited code via dfu,
but it is always nice not to have to 'loose' the debugger on the other board.

Regards, Mike

That connects the outputs of the 3.3V regulators on the two boards. But since the XC6227 regulator has reverse current protection that shouldn't be a problem (no guarantees, please check schematics and data sheet for yourself).

Basically the target board will be powered when at least one of the power sources is available.
