I have a design where the LPC1549 is a possible candidate. In the errata sheet for the part, the RTC seems to be more or less non-functional, at least when it comes to the COUNT register (1Hz):

Is it safe to use the high-resolution/wake-up timer in this part (and not relying on the 1Hz COUNT function) ?

Are there not any plan to fix the RTC in the LPC15xx series ?

Yes,  The issue seems to be related to some glitch when the internal 16-bit ripple count wraps from 0x7FFF to 0x8000 and from 0xFFFF to 0x0000.

Have a great day,
Sol

Hi,

The report Errata, it is only on the Digital Counter of the RTC, the time base oscillator it is stable. Unfortunately there is not plan to fix it.

Have a great day,

Thanks Sol,

so you confirm that the high-resolution/wake-up timer in the RTC block is NOT affected by this errata ?

(but only the COUNT register is affected)
