Hi-

Is there an application note or example to demonstrate how to make k20d50m go into low power mode like VLPR with UART being active? My board is powered by MQX4.1.

Tanks in advance!

Hui

Hi Hui Shao,

The MK20DX128VFM5 also support the VLPR mode, and its reference manual is listed as below.

Hi Mark

Thanks a lot for your help! Do you know if there is relevant MQX application notes to achieve similar power saving purpose? I can go ask on MQX forum as well.

regards

Hui

Hi Hui Shao,

You can find the power_manager_rtos_demo which include the MQX reside in ~\KSDK_1.3.0\examples\twrk21d50m\demo_apps\power_manager_rtos_demo after you install the KSDK 1.3.

And you can go to download the KSDK through the link as follow.

Hi Ping

Thanks for your help!

Here I have some questions regarding the SDK I just downloaded.

1. Does k20D50M support VLPR mode? Where can I find it out?

2. Any design doc that could help me understand the demo "power_manager_rtos_demo"?

I am not using SDK. Our application is built directly on top of MQX4.1. Any other low power demos with UART included?

Regards

Hui

Hi Hui Shao,

Of course, the K20D50M support the VLPR mode and you can find the more detail information in the reference manual.

http://cache.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/K20P64M50SF0RM.pdf?fpsp=1&WT_TYPE=Reference%20Manual...

The Kinetis SDK v1.3 Demo Application User's Guide includes the descriptions of the several demos, please take a moment to review it.

You can also go to download the sample code of the TWR-K20D50M through the link as below and it also contains the low power demo, I think it can be useful.

cache.nxp.com/files/32bit/software/KINETIS_50MHZ_SC.zip?fpsp=1&WT_TYPE=Lab%20and%20Test%20Software&W...

Hope it hleps
