Hi Alejandro,

The Fig 1 illustrates the connection between the LCD and MCU.

To use the LCD, It needs to connect the pins of LCD likes RS, R/W, DB0, DB1, etc to the pins of MCU, for the KE02, there're PTxx.

So in this perspective, there's equivalence.

Hope it helps.

Hi

See also µTasker FRDM-KE02Z support

This includes LCD support for the KE02 in 4 or 8 bit modes (1 x 4 to 4 x 40 segments) - Standard or Cyrillic.

General LCD documentation at http://www.utasker.com/docs/uTasker/uTaskerLCD.PDF

Note that the KE02 and LCD can be simulated as seen in the first link (including an .exe file that allows it to be seen in action).

Regards

Mark

Hi Alejandro,

Freescale hasn't released the kind of demo for WH1602B that integrates with the FRDM-KE02 board.

I'd like to suggest that you should to use the LCD by following its operation timing characteristics.

I've also attached the datasheet of this LCD and hope it helps.
Have a great day,

Thank you Jeremy! The datasheet was really usefull! However, what I need to know now is the equivalence between the symbols (according to each pin) i.e. (RS, R/W, DB0, DB1, etc) and the symbols printed on the board which are quite different, i.e. (NC, P3V3, PTXX, etc). Thank you in advance!
