I have big trouble while trying to find out the part number of the correct CodeWarrior IDE for PowerPC on Windows host ?

What I want to order is the CodeWarrior IDE for PowerPC 8xx on the Windows host. Which following part numbers should I select:

CWS-PPC-CMWFL -CX or CWS-PPC-CMWFL -LX   ?
CWS-PPC-CMWDB -CX or CWS-PPC-CMWDB -LX ?

What are they the following part  numbers:

CWS-PPC-FLASH-CX ?
CWX-PPC-CMWDB-CX ?

Please, Freescale,  do so that the customer can easily understand what is what ?

The suffix CX means that the software is licensed to one machine.
The suffix LX means that it has a floating license, which can be shared among machines.

The code number CWS-PPC-CMWDB indicates that the tools support debug only.

The prefix CWX indicates the the software is either a special edition or an upgrade to an existing edition.

So, if you want a non-sharable, one-license copy of CW with compiler and debug capabilities, you'd want: CWS-PPC-CMWFL-CX.

Can you tell me what is CWS-PPC-FLASH-CX ? I guess it is for flashing the flash ROM, but I need more which flash device, which probe, are supported. Can I use with Macraigor Probe such as Wiggler or Raven ?

The CW PPC package supports USB TAP and PowerTAP.

Still trying to track down that other part name---where did you see it?

Actually I think the part number was updated to be:

CWS-PPC-FLASH-CX  -  CodeWarrior for PowerPC ISA, Comm Processors Edition, Flash Loader Only, Software Only, Nodelock License

This is a windows only license that allows a user just use the flash programmer within CodeWarrior

I'm still working on that one, which is why I didn't mention it on the previous message.
