Hello everybody.

I'm facing a problem when trying to connect to a new board which is mounting a MKE04 kinetis microcontroller.

I've already posted another question regarding the reset pin connection, but the problem could also be done to something in the setting of CW environment.

In paticular, when I try to program the device through the SWD I get these messages:

INF: CMD>RE

INF: Initializing.

INF: Target has been RESET and is active.

INF: CMD>CM C:\Freescale\CW MCU v10.6.4\MCU\bin\Plugins\support\arm\gdi\P&E\ke04z128m4_pflash_pipeline.arp

INF: Initializing.

INF: Error loading .ARP file : C:\Freescale\CW MCU v10.6.4\MCU\bin\Plugins\support\arm\gdi\P&E\ke04z128m4_pflash_pipeline.arp. Set PC and Run Error.

ERR: Error loading programming algorithm - load aborted.

ERR: Error occured during Flash programming.

INF: WARNING - NO RESET SCRIPT FILE HAS BEEN CONFIGURED TO RUN!!!

INF: TO MODIFY THE RESET SCRIPT SETTINGS, USE THE FOLLOWING MENU OPTION:

INF: CONFIGURATION -> AUTOMATED SCRIPT OPTIONS

I was convinced it was an HW problem, but I'm not so sure. As reference I post part of the schematic.

Any help really appreciated

Thank you in advance,

Luca

Hello and many thanks to kind people who answered to me.

It was a problem on the board: I've used the NMI pin as output as its alternate function capability, but being tied down it was blocking the CPU programming.

Thanks,

LUCA

Thank you very much Alice, you're very kind.

I attach some screenshot of my configuration, and the error message that

CW gives back.

I double checked the HW and everything seems to be ok. I see the reset

pin moving before I connect the programmer, but since it starts, I see

the signal stable. I've also verified the CLK end DATA arrive on the

board connector.

Where do I find the SWD option in CW environement?

The project has been created with the standar wizard, using the option

of "Bareboard Project"

Thank you in advance,

Luca
