56800E Flash Programmer error: CC not present

In the 56800E Flash Programmer, what does the "CCCSClient::ConfigChain: CC not present" mean?
Actually, all of the error messages start the same, so I'm really asking "what is CC"?

Regarding the error message "CCCSClient::ConfigChain: CC not present", it means the the ccs tools is not open.

I suppose that the  "56800E Flash Programmer" does not integrate the ccs tools, so you have to install the Codewarrior for DSP56800E tools from the link:

CodeWarrior Development Tools for 56800/E DSC | NXP 

after you load the CW tools, the ccs is open, you can run the 56800E Flash Programmer tools.

BTW, after you open the above link, register, then you can enter the following web site, pls try to download the Flash Programmer tools, I suppose that the version includes the ccs tools. If it is the case, you do not need to install the Codewarrior for DSP56800E tools.
