Dear All,

I would like to use the S9S08SG8E2WTG because it is rated 150 degree Celcius operation.

My intended function is to make a signal generator driving two mosfets with certain dead time.

However I cannot find a solution to program it.

Datasheet states to use single wire BDC for programming and debug using the BDM tool.

The NXP hardware tool LFBDMPGMR is active but not stocked. Is there an alternative?

What software to use for a) programming and b) debug?

Are there alternative MCU's with PWM that support 150 degree Celcius operation?

Best regards,

Frank

Hi @FuR,

For S9S08SG8E2WTG you may need an external programmer in order to debug and program the target processor, for the S9S08SG8E2WTG you have multiple options.

Universal Multilink Development Interface
Universal Multilink Development Interface | NXP Semiconductors

PEmicro Cyclone programmer
PEmicro Cyclone programmer | NXP Semiconductors

PEmicro Cyclone FX programmer
PEmicro Cyclone FX programmer | NXP Semiconductors

Universal Multilink FX High-Speed Development Interface

If you want to search for other option, just make sure that the programmer supports your device.

In addition, you would need an IDE to help you generate the image, you can use the following:
CodeWarrior® Embedded Software Development Tools | NXP Semiconductors

For an alternative MCU there is no other 8 bits MCU that full fill the temperature requirement but you can take in consideration the following options:

16 bits:
S12G Optimized MCU |16-bit MCUs | NXP Semiconductors

32 bits:
S32K1 General-Purpose MCUs | NXP Semiconductors

Hope it helps you!
