Hi All,
I'm an electronics engineer by day and an enthusiast veteran Atmel AVR assembler programmer in my spare time. I'd like to master 9S08AW micros and have a couple of questions which you might be kind enough to help with:
1. Is the following the correct development software for 9S08AW assembler coding ?
CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for Microcontrollers V6.3
2. Which is the cheapest programming hardware for 9S08AW ?
Many thanks
Hello, and welcome to the forum.
For non-automotive use, you might use the later MC9S08AC family, rather than the 'AW series.
You might also consider purchasing a demonstration board that already has an on-board USB multilink interface for programming and debug. The demonstration board is also fitted with a 64-pin socket for the MCU device. By removal of the onboard device, and the fitting of a suitable lead, external programming and debug is possible.
Regards,
Mac
