debug console no option for UART 3,4,5 or 6 or USB CDC

Hi All

The appears to be no option to select a UART past UART 2 with PE as the debug console.

I'm using the FRDM-K22F dev board AND our own target board with same processor but higher pin count package and neither

processor allows you to select a UART higher than UART 2???

Also there is no option to select USB CDC as the debug console.

Is there a way to change this?

If not, will this be supported in a future release of PE?

Jerome

Hello Jerome Pitt:

The K22FN512xxx12 only has 3 UART (UART0/UART1/UART2) and 1 LPUART (LPUART0). That is why you cannot select UART3/4/5/...

As for the USB CDC option, that is not supported by Processor Expert. Try doing it manually as indicated in the next thread:

How do I setup the debug console to use the Virtual COM port (USB CDC driver)?

I hope this clarifies.

Thanks George

Ok the FRDM-K22F board does not have 4 UARTS, however the MCU on our target board is a MK22FX512xxxx which has 6 UARTS.

However PE does not currently support this processor.
