Hi,

We are plannig to develop a board using 100-pin LPC54606 and add ethernet communication with KSZ8091RNB RMII phy.

We already have a similar product using LPC4078 processor, however, I notice that RMII pins are different on these processors. For LPC4078 we use the CRS_DV MAC pin, witch is missing on LPC546x. We also tried out to use RX_DV pin for this function on LPC4078 without success.

It is possible to use LPC546x in RMII mode? We are not sure about using the RX_DV pin for the same role of CRS_DV.

Best regards,

Renê

Yes is possible to use LPC546x in RMII mode.

As you could check, in our schematic for the LPCxpresso546x,

the LAN8720A-CP PHY, which supports the RMII  MAC interface, is implemented among the LPC54608 RMII interface.

Please note that in the schematic design the ENET_RX_DV pin of the LPC546x is connected to the CRS_DV pin of the PHY.

Best regards, Diego.

Thanks for your help, Diego!

We will try it out on KSZ8091 PHY.
