Hi,

The SD card is not detected in our board after power up. In our schematics, we have assigned the SD_CD pin to No Connect. We use the micro controller MCIMX7D7DVM10SC

But when we go in detail through the user manual its written, for embedded memory it should be tied to ground if not used. Will this cause an issue?

Kindly share your thoughts in this regard!!!!

Thanks,
Regards,
Meria Jacob

Hi Meria

for sd_cd linux options one can refer to sect.32.3.3 Devicetree Binding attached Linux Manual.
Also one can look at i.MX6Q Sabre SD schematic spf-27392 p.5 for emmc and its uboot/linux codes,
it also has not sd_cd.

Hi,

We are using i.Mx7 Dual processor MCIMX7D7DVM10SC. This processor have SD_CD pin. But we have made it NC. The SD card is not detected in our board after power up, we are debugging the causes of this.

Could you please share the details of this ?

Our board schematics is shown below.

But when we go in detail through the user manual its written, for embedded memory it should be tied to ground if not used. Will this cause an issue? If, so , how can we rectify the same?

Kindly share your thoughts in this regard!!!!

Thanks,

Hi Meria

linux settings are valid for i.MX7 too.

Also one can check i.MX7D SDB schematic p.9 emmc connections (SD3_CD not used)
