Hi

I am an engineer of NFC reader developed. My question is :

What does the mean of N - driver or P-driver ? The value of register(GsNOnReg 、CWGsPReg and ModGsPreg) how to influence antenna modulation ?

Is there any other way to know  a card in antenna field without by searching card command, for example ,read some value of register.

Best regard!

Hello haihua xi:

Thank you for using the NFC Community.

About the registers influence please see the information for a similar question in the next thread:

NXP NFC Controllers: Meaning/Measuring of the conductance

For your second question, unfortunately the PN512 does not have a Low Power Card Detection feature (LPCD) to detect a card in the antenna field without a command. Latest NXP devices have such a card detection mode. Below a list:

PN5180: High-performance multi-protocol full NFC Forum-comp|NXP

PN7462: PN7462 | All-in-one NFC Cortex-M0 MCU 160kB Flash|NXP

PN7120: PN7120 | Plug'n Play NFC Controller for OS Systems|NXP

PN7150: High performance full NFC Forum-compliant controlle|NXP

Best Regards!
