hello,
I hope that someone can help me on this issue:
i want to connect my 68hc12 microcontroller to a gsm modem through serial rs232. My current status is as follows:
I can transmit data from microcontroller to hyperterm on PC
I can talk to my gsm modem through the hyperterminal
However, the gsm does not respond at all when i try to transmitt data to it through microctroller

I have a dragon 12 board that cointains MC9S12DP256. My gsm modem is westermo GD-01

Thank you

You probably need a 'null' modem cable when connecting the Dragon to the modem.
Since dragon and the modem both have the same pin out based on what you stated, pins 2 & 3 need to be cross connected.

Note that a "lap link" cable will work as well.
