(I attach pics and resend.)
I have a question that need your view about your "Level translating I2C-bus repeater", p/n : PCA9517ADP.
Why is the maximum VOL of Input and Output SDAB and SCLB is 0.6V in your Product data sheet - Table 5, page 10 (below) ?
when the maximum voltage in Std I2C mode device is specified as 0.4V (which means VOL should be less than 0.4V to be LOW level) in the SMBus Specification of the following URL - Table 10, page 57 (below).
SMBus Specification URL : http://smbus.org/specs/smbus20.pdf
This would sound your spec 0.6V max is out of the specification.
Could you make me clear about it?
In many of your I2C-bus repeater ICs, such as PCA9507, PCA9515A, PCA9518A, etc,
VOL(LOW-level output voltage) is stipulated as less than 0.6V even if official I2C(SMBus) spec requires it to be less than 0.4V.
What is the rationale behind this mismatch with SMBus specification??
