Hi community,

I have a questions about i.MX6 XTALOSC.

I want to measure the waveform of external x'tals (24MHz, 32kHz).

Then, to do accurate measurement, I consider using output from i.MX6 for measurement.

At first time, I thought I can use CLKOx, but I stopped it because the output ckil_sync_clk_root is not original and synchronized clock by IPG_CLK as per page. 814 in the RM.

So now, I consider using REF_CLK_24M & REF_CLK_32K.

I guess, these output are bypassed clock from external 24MHz and 32kHz.

Is this correct?

Best Regards,

Satoshi Shimoda

Hi, Shimoda

REF_CLK_24M & REF_CLK_32K are the exact external clock sources.

you can bypass them out for measurement.

Hi, Shimoda

you can refer to the information in:

Table 70-1. XTALOSC External Signals.

REF_CLK_24M & REF_CLK_32K are almost external signals and can be routed to some pads.
