Hi all together

I just finished the mounting of the TBDML.

With the Version 3.1 of CodeWarrior I am able to select TBDML in the Connection-menu of the debugger. And it seems that TBDML works.

But with the V4.5 Special Edition, I have only the options
Abatron BDI
HCS12 Serial Monitor
P&E Multilink
Full Chip Simulation
SoftTec HCS12
although the file "GDI.tgt" is in the prog.folder.

Could anybody help me to solve this problem.

Hello,

You can select a particular target by using SET GDI command in the command window.

Put the TBDML dll in the GDI dll folder as well and select it.

Hi Alban,

thanks a lot for the support. It´s not so easy to find that way for a newby.

Hello Franz,

That's true that all it's not very straight forward.
Because TBDML is a new thing, it is not included in CodeWarrior natively.

However the CodeWarrior team is taking this into account as I think they already included the OSBDM08 (for (R)S08) as standard target in CW for S08 v.5.
Hopefully it means that the next revision or Service Pack of CW S12 v4.5 will include the TBDML as native as well.

May be our Dear CrazyCat has an insider input on this :smileywink:

Anyway, DO FEEL free to ask your questions, there are a lot of people here eager to help !!!

Cheers,
Alban.

Hello

Sorry I did not see that message before today.
In fact connection to TBDML cable will be available in CodeWarrior for HC12 V4.6.

As far as I know this release should be placed on the web soon.
You will then be able to select TBDML as connection when creating a project.

Dear Crasy Cat

this would help a lot for beginners. Because if you start with a project you can´t select TBDML as a target. You have to insert a target for TBDML and you should modify some settings, so that TBDML is started when you start the debugger. For example set TBDML.ini in the "Build Extras Arguments Menue. So not to do the same boring things all the time when starting the debugger.

Sorry for the late answer, but it took a lot of time to find out this things and find my error in the design. :smileyhappy: But now it works fine.

Thanks a lot
