RT1020 - ETM trace with IAR IDE

I'm having an RT1020 EVK and would like to use the following debugging feature:

ETM trace with IAR IDE. Current connection is SWD with J-Link v10.1 on J16 connector.

  About the RT1020 ETM trace, please check the NXP application note:

 As I know, it also need the debugger support the feature.

I'd read the doc; however it requires:

1. Lauterbach JTAG module

2. Lauterbach TRACE32 software package

3. Target JTAG modifications

I'd like to make sure that JLINK + IAR limitation for not supporting the ETM tracing before I could consider the Lauterbach's.

  As I know, the ETM need your debugger to support it.

  Not all the JLINK can support the ETM trace function, you need to use the J-trace pro

This tool also support trace.

More details about the trace of the JLINK, you also can check with segger side.
