Dear NXP Support,
This question pertains to the cl-som-imx7 board.
According to the i.MX-7Dual reference manual, OTP Bank 14 (OCOTP_GPXX) can be used to store general-purpose data, but this only fits 16 bytes.
We would like to know if we could use any other banks/words for storing our own arbitrary data. Some potential options could be:
- Bank 15 is dedicated to some sort of CRC key, but is suffixed GP (OCOTP_CRC_GPXX)
- Banks 12-13 and Banks 24-29 are zeroed, but are not mentioned at all in the reference manual
Thanks in avances,
Valentin.
Hello,
The only fuse banks that are used for general porpoise are OCOTP_GP.
OCOTP_CRC_GP is used exclusively for Cyclic Redundancy Checking functions.
In the case of undocumented fuse banks you are referring, we do not recommend to read/write on them since we cannot determinate the behavior after do it.
Best regards.
